From 08acba30718281a068ab978f8feded9b871ec9db Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Mara Bos Date: Tue, 12 Aug 2025 12:52:39 +0200 Subject: Revert "Partially outline code inside the panic! macro". Without any tests/benchmarks that show some improvement, it's hard to know whether the change had any positive effect at all. (And if it did, whether that effect is still achieved today.) --- compiler/rustc_const_eval/src/check_consts/check.rs | 6 +++--- compiler/rustc_const_eval/src/const_eval/machine.rs | 2 +- 2 files changed, 4 insertions(+), 4 deletions(-) (limited to 'compiler/rustc_const_eval/src') diff --git a/compiler/rustc_const_eval/src/check_consts/check.rs b/compiler/rustc_const_eval/src/check_consts/check.rs index 8e2c138282a..ca707b50d50 100644 --- a/compiler/rustc_const_eval/src/check_consts/check.rs +++ b/compiler/rustc_const_eval/src/check_consts/check.rs @@ -827,7 +827,7 @@ impl<'tcx> Visitor<'tcx> for Checker<'_, 'tcx> { // At this point, we are calling a function, `callee`, whose `DefId` is known... - // `begin_panic` and `#[rustc_const_panic_str]` functions accept generic + // `begin_panic` and `panic_display` functions accept generic // types other than str.
