From 75fa9f6decc089ae47beeef1db04aec4ed514bcc Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Alex Crichton Date: Wed, 6 Mar 2024 12:19:20 -0800 Subject: compiletest: Add a `//@ needs-threads` directive This commit is extracted from #122036 and adds a new directive to the `compiletest` test runner, `//@ needs-threads`. This is intended to capture the need that a target must implement threading to execute a specific test, typically one that uses `std::thread`. This is primarily done for WebAssembly targets which currently do not have threads by default. This enables transitioning a lot of `//@ ignore-wasm*`-style ignores into a more self-documenting `//@ needs-threads` directive. Additionally the `wasm32-wasi-preview1-threads` target, for example, does actually have threads, but isn't tested in CI at this time. This change enables running these tests for that target, but not other wasm targets. --- tests/ui/threads-sendsync/comm.rs | 4 ++-- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) (limited to 'tests/ui/threads-sendsync/comm.rs') diff --git a/tests/ui/threads-sendsync/comm.rs b/tests/ui/threads-sendsync/comm.rs index 589859e60a6..0c37fda8a39 100644 --- a/tests/ui/threads-sendsync/comm.rs +++ b/tests/ui/threads-sendsync/comm.rs @@ -1,13 +1,13 @@ //@ run-pass #![allow(unused_must_use)] -//@ ignore-emscripten no threads support +//@ needs-threads use std::thread; use std::sync::mpsc::{channel, Sender}; pub fn main() { let (tx, rx) = channel(); - let t = thread::spawn(move|| { child(&tx) }); + let t = thread::spawn(move || { child(&tx) }); let y = rx.recv().unwrap(); println!("received"); println!("{}", y); -- cgit 1.4.1-3-g733a5
