Revert "disable extern-so ffi support for now due to licensing situation"
This reverts commit 5f3545e773f930c3345e7166b98bf9d2a76adff6. With https://github.com/tov/libffi-rs/pull/58 landed, we no longer depend on abort_on_panic.
