| 2015-04-08 | Remove pretty-expanded from failing tests | Alex Crichton | -1/+0 | |
| This commit removes pretty-expanded from all tests that wind up calling panic! one way or another now that its internals are unstable. | ||||
| 2015-03-26 | Mass rename uint/int to usize/isize | Alex Crichton | -2/+2 | |
| Now that support has been removed, all lingering use cases are renamed. | ||||
| 2015-03-23 | rustdoc: Replace no-pretty-expanded with pretty-expanded | Brian Anderson | -0/+2 | |
| Now that features must be declared expanded source often does not compile. This adds 'pretty-expanded' to a bunch of test cases that still work. | ||||
| 2015-03-03 | Add `: Box<_>` or `::Box<_>` type annotations to various places. | Felix S. Klock II | -2/+2 | |
| This is the kind of change that one is expected to need to make to accommodate overloaded-`box`. ---- Note that this is not *all* of the changes necessary to accommodate Issue 22181. It is merely the subset of those cases where there was already a let-binding in place that made it easy to add the necesasry type ascription. (For unnamed intermediate `Box` values, one must go down a different route; `Box::new` is the option that maximizes portability, but has potential inefficiency depending on whether the call is inlined.) ---- There is one place worth note, `run-pass/coerce-match.rs`, where I used an ugly form of `Box<_>` type ascription where I would have preferred to use `Box::new` to accommodate overloaded-`box`. I deliberately did not use `Box::new` here, because that is already done in coerce-match-calls.rs. ---- Precursor for overloaded-`box` and placement-`in`; see Issue 22181. | ||||
| 2015-01-30 | Remove all `i` suffixes | Tobias Bucher | -6/+6 | |
| 2015-01-08 | fallout: run-pass tests that use box. (many could be ported to `Box::new` ↵ | Felix S. Klock II | -0/+2 | |
| instead in the future.) | ||||
| 2014-11-17 | Switch to purely namespaced enums | Steven Fackler | -1/+1 | |
| This breaks code that referred to variant names in the same namespace as their enum. Reexport the variants in the old location or alter code to refer to the new locations: ``` pub enum Foo { A, B } fn main() { let a = A; } ``` => ``` pub use self::Foo::{A, B}; pub enum Foo { A, B } fn main() { let a = A; } ``` or ``` pub enum Foo { A, B } fn main() { let a = Foo::A; } ``` [breaking-change] | ||||

| 2014-06-29 | librustc: Remove the fallback to `int` for integers and `f64` for | Patrick Walton | -7/+7 | |
| floating point numbers for real. This will break code that looks like: let mut x = 0; while ... { x += 1; } println!("{}", x); Change that code to: let mut x = 0i; while ... { x += 1; } println!("{}", x); Closes #15201. [breaking-change] | ||||
| 2014-06-20 | librustc: Put `#[unsafe_destructor]` behind a feature gate. | Patrick Walton | -1/+1 | |
| Closes #8142. This is not the semantics we want long-term. You can continue to use `#[unsafe_destructor]`, but you'll need to add `#![feature(unsafe_destructor)]` to the crate attributes. [breaking-change] | ||||
| 2014-06-14 | rustc: Obsolete the `@` syntax entirely | Alex Crichton | -10/+11 | |
| This removes all remnants of `@` pointers from rustc. Additionally, this removes the `GC` structure from the prelude as it seems odd exporting an experimental type in the prelude by default. Closes #14193 [breaking-change] | ||||
| 2014-05-06 | librustc: Remove `~EXPR`, `~TYPE`, and `~PAT` from the language, except | Patrick Walton | -1/+1 | |
| for `~str`/`~[]`. Note that `~self` still remains, since I forgot to add support for `Box<self>` before the snapshot. How to update your code: * Instead of `~EXPR`, you should write `box EXPR`. * Instead of `~TYPE`, you should write `Box<Type>`. * Instead of `~PATTERN`, you should write `box PATTERN`.
